On the morning of june 9, the delegation of CQ University Australia, consisting of Professor Scott Bowman, Joanne Perry, Director of the President Office, Oliver Fortescue, Director of International Exchange Office and Toni Yang, Manager of North Asia Manager, visited SLUAF . They were warmly received by our President Tang Haiyan, Vice President Chen Jingying, principals of Development and Planning Section and International Exchange Section, etc.
The two sides talked about student exchange, credit transfer, exchange-visits between teachers of two sides, cooperative scientific research and other cooperation issues. As pointed out by Tang, CQ University Australia has very rich experience in multi-campus development and management, remote-distance education and many other aspects. It’s the hope of SLUAF to first launch our cooperation with CQ University Australia in terms of student exchange, double academic degree programs, exchange-visits between teachers of two sides, cooperative scientific research and so forth. Meanwhile, on the basis of further understanding laws, regulations and policies related to the overseas educational institutions established by us in Australia, our leaders also discussed with guests about the feasibility of jointly building overseas campuses in Australia. After the meeting, both sides reached a cooperative intention, and signed a memorandum of understanding.
Established by the government in 1967, CQ University Australia is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and also a national public university with the widest coverage in Australia. The university has 26 campuses and research centers in Australia and more than 35,000 students, as well as 12 campuses open to international students from 115 countries all over the world. In QS Stars 2016-2017, it ranked as a five-star university in terms of internationalization, inclusiveness, remote-distance education, etc.
