中国文化理论课程是对外汉语课程中的专项文化课。本课程的教学目标是通过一学期68个学时的教学，对学生进行中国文化基础知识的训练，主要从中国的传统思想、中国传统美德、中国古代文学、中国古代科技、中国传统艺术、中国文物、中国古代建筑、中国工艺美术、中国民俗及中国人的生活等十个专题向留学生展示源远流长和丰富多彩的中国传统文化。要求学生初步了解中国在文化、教育等方面的发展及成就；了解简单的成语故事、典故中的文化内涵；了解中国文化中的语言交际和非语言交际功能；了解中国文化中的人际关系等多个方面。
Chinese culture is a basic professional course of foreign Chinese teaching. This course is based on training students’ the basic knowledge of Chinese culture, including Chinese traditional thoughts, Chinese traditional virtue, Classic Chinese Literature, Chinese ancient science and technology, Chinese traditional art, Chinese heritage, Chinese ancient architecture, Chinese crafts, Chinese folk customs and Chinese life. Students will be shown the rich and varied Chinese traditional culture after studying for a semester. The main task of this course is to give students a idea of the development and achievement of the Chinese culture.
