Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the examination and approval results of Chinese-foreign cooperation programmes in ordinary colleges and universities in 2018. The “undergraduate education program in financial engineering (with the concentration of financial technology)jointly run by Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance and New Jersey Institute of Technology in the US” successfully obtained approval by the Ministry of Education. The approval of the programme has achieved a historic breakthrough in the Chinese-foreign cooperation education programme at the undergraduate level.
The programme is included in the general higher education enrollment plan and will start enrollment nationwide in the fall of 2019 with four years of education. The programme aims to cultivate applied financial technology professionals with integrity, practical ability, innovation awareness and international perspective. Students in the programme who meet the relevant requirements can obtain a double bachelor's degree from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance and New Jersey Institute of Technology.
