Studentsand faculty members of Shanghai Finance University (SFU) joined the school’sinternational students in celebration of Christmas and New Year's Dayon 12 23, 2013. The international students, totaling over 200, came from morethan 20 countries.
Twointernational students and two Chinese students presided over the celebration.He Ying, vice-president of SFU, addressed the students and wished all of them ahappy life at SFU.
Themed“all together,” the celebration boasted eye-catching performances by bothinternational students and Chinese students. Exotic performances byinternational students, such as Bible verse readings by Ghanaian students,traditional Mongolian dances, and African hip-hop and rap, wowed the audiences.The Chinese student chorus, dance and folk music performances were also a feastfor the eyes. In the games and lucky draw section, all students receivedChristmas gifts.
The party provided a platform for internationalstudents to communicate with their Chinese counterparts and to celebrate theirtraditional festivals, comforting students who are far from their homeland andfamily.
