On september 8, a delegation from Chiba University of Commerce, led by Vice President Miyuki Aso, Vice Director Yasuhito Watanabe of the Faculty of Global Studies, and Associate Professor Shi Min visited Lixin. Vice President Chen Jingying of Lixin received the distinguished guests. The two universities had a fruitful meeting on further deepening the cooperation on schooling and teacher & student exchange programs, and on jointly holding international academic forums. Related staff members from the School of Information Management and International Exchange Office also attended the meeting.
Since 2000, Chiba University of Commerce and former Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce have made joint efforts in implementing Sino-Japan cooperative schooling program. In recent years, Chiba University of Commerce has greatly enhanced the professionalism and level of its school operation. Miyuki Aso said that Chiba University of Commerce was longing for the in-depth cooperation and communication with Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance in the new situation. As Chen Jingying put it, Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance is a bigger and better cooperation platform. We attach great importance to the friendship with Chiba University of Commerce and hope to have better cooperation and communication with Lixin through higher-level cooperative school operation, graduate student exchange programs, joint scientific researches and exchange between faculties.
