Inaugural meeting for National Finance and Economics Institutions Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cooperative Group was held on december 3rd in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Xu Mei of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance attended the meeting upon invitation. More than 300 people attended the event, including Director Wu Yan from Division of Finance and Economics Political and Legal Affairs of Higher Education Department under the Ministry of Education, Vice Director Guo Weilu from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, responsible person from Higher Finance and Economics Education Branch under Higher Education Academy of China, leaders from 35 finance and economics institutions around China, responsible persons from 30 Entrepreneurship Academies, teacher and student representatives.
Xu Mei gave a keynote speech titled Some Thoughts on Integrating Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education with Accounting-Specific Education on the presidential sub-forum around the topic “Integration of Innovation and Entrepreneurship with Professional Education. Based on the relationship between innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional education, she pointed out that the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with accounting-specific education should be studied through 6 aspects, i.e., integration of educational ideas, objectives for talent cultivation, curricular system, academic contents, examination indices, and educational resources.
Wu Yan, on behalf of Financial and Economic Policy and Law Division of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, gave warm congratulations on the founding of the cooperative group. Deputy Secretary General Li Hailong, commissioned by Secretary General Zhang Guocai and on behalf of the Finance and Economics Branch of Higher Education Association also congratulated the founding. Guo Weilu said that it was an honor for the higher education circle of Shanghai to discuss and exchange ideas on reforming innovation and entrepreneurship education with so many universities gathered together. Innovation and entrepreneurship education is a breakthrough for higher education reform, and should be promoted to become a strategic measure for university development, thus promoting close cooperation among universities, enterprises and industries.
It is reported that the National Finance and Economics Institutions Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cooperative Group is a non-profit union of educational industry voluntarily sponsored and organized by national financial colleges and universities, aimed at jointly creating a platform for integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education resources from the financial colleges and universities, accelerating cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship talents and thus contributing to build an innovative country.
