ACCA (the Association ofChartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professionalaccountants. SFU ACCA program was started in 2014. We work with KaplanFinancial SWUFE and ACCA Shanghai office to offer ACCA courses training.
14 ACCA courses are embeddedin the accounting degree curriculum, Students in ACCA program will get bachelorin accounting and ACCA qualification if they pass the required courses andexperience in accounting.
Kaplan Financial SWUFE isACCA Approved Learning Provider (GOLDEN), Kaplan Financial is also one of thetwo ACCA text publisher.
SFU-URI 2+2
TheUniversity of Rhode Island (URI), Kingston, Rhode Island, United States ofAmerica and Shanghai Finance University (SHFU), Shanghai, People’s Republic ofChina, agree to develop a plan for an International Bachelor’s (2+2) program forSHFU students that will be delivered partly at SHFU and partly at URI and willlead to a degree from URI. The educationalobjective of the program is to prepare students in selected academicdisciplines who are proficient in the language, society, and culture of bothcountries to be able to interface between the two cultures. At this point, we are inviting applications fromSHFU sophomores for Bachelor’s (2+2) program. SHFU students can enroll in the URI College of Business Administrationand major in Accounting, Entrepreneurial Management, Finance, General Business,Global Business, Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
1. After2 years of study at Shanghai Finance University (sophomores), SHFU studentswill transfer to URI to complete the bachelor’s degree within the next twoyears (2+2).
2. SHFUapplicants (2+2) must submit the official results of the TOEFL (Test of Englishas a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language TestingSystem), or the Pearson Test of English taken within the past two years. Theymust arrange for ETS to report their scores directly to URI. The minimum scoreon the Paper-based TOEFL is 550; the computer-based 213 or iBt score of79. Minimum requirement for the IELTS isa 6.5, and the minimum requirement for the Pearson Test of English is 53.
3. ConditionalAdmission is possible for SHFU applicants by studying ENGLISH through theLanguage Institute located on the URI campus. Students may receive conditionaladmission to URI if they meet the academic requirements, but do not meet the Englishproficiency requirement. Conditionally admitted students may expect to lengthentheir program because they will be expected to study intensive English beforereceive full admission to the SHFU/URI (2+2) program.
