On March 28, sponsored by Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance and the China Financial Information Center, the 2018 Blue Book of Shanghai International Financial Center construction was released in China Finance Information Center. The conference was guided by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Counselor's Office and the Shanghai Financial Work Bureau. The Lujiazui Administration and Shanghai Zhangjiang (Group) Co., Ltd. co-organized it. Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal Government Chen Mingbo, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal People's Government Counselor’s office Dong Xinwang, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau Zhao Wanbing, Chairman of Chinese financial information center Ye Guobiao, the University Deputy Party Secretary and President Tang Haiyan, Vice President Gu Xiaomin, Shanghai Municipal People's Government Counselor Wu Daqi attended the release conference.
In his speech, Chen Mingbo said that the Blue Book of Shanghai International Financial Center Construction not only faithfully recorded the development history of Shanghai International Financial Center step by step with detailed data, but also carefully collected the fruitful results of the research of Shanghai think tank experts. It has already become a very influential set of books in the financial sector at home and abroad. With the comprehensive deepening of the construction of Shanghai international financial center, the Blue Book circulation and audience have been expanded, and new ideas, new perspectives and new evaluation was displayed year after year. It has played a consultative and educational role in the building process of Shanghai as an international financial center. He thanked the Blue Book Editorial Board for a consistent effort and hard work, and hoped to better play the effect of Blue Book brand, and make new contributions to the construction of Shanghai as International Financial Center with more high-quality research.
Ye Guobiao expressed in his speech that in the 2018 Blue Book of Shanghai international financial center construction has not only made a panoramic-style description of the outcome of the construction of Shanghai as international financial center in 2018, but also proposed forward thinking on the construction of the financial center and offered advice and suggestions, which fully reflected the development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta integration proposed by President Xi last year.
Tang Haiyan said in the speech that the professor of the university and government counselor Wu Daqi has acted as the chief editor of the Blue Book of Shanghai international financial center construction continuously for 13 years. Over the past 13 years, the Blue Book compiling team has committed to the goal of using university think tanks as a platform to “consult for government and educate people”. On the one hand, by compiling the Blue Book every year, more people can understand, support and devote themselves to the construction of Shanghai as International Financial Center, therefore the goal of “educating people” is achieved; on the other hand, the book conducted forward-looking, systematic research, and actively advised the government on the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center, thus exerting the role of “consulting for the government”. Blue Book has always followed the pace of the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center, integrating authority, professionalism, internationality, practicality, reference, system and timeliness together. It has become a brand in the field of academic research and think tank in the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center, and has also become an important platform and a highlight of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance for serving the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center.
In the welcome speech, Gu Xiaomin said that, the Shanghai local high-level project evaluation in January this year listed Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance as the cultivation university, and the Blue Book as a rare open platform and brand has also become an important carrier of the university service, and is a major step for the university to actively serve the national strategy of building Shanghai as International Financial Center.
Tang Haiyan and Wu Daqi represented the editorial board of the Blue Book and donated books to the Shanghai financial community.
Wu Daqi introduced the compilation and main content of the 2018 Blue Book. According to reports, the first part of the 2018 Blue Book is an overview and analysis of the construction of Shanghai as international financial center in 2017; the second is a special study on financial regional development and open innovation; the third is a decision-making consultation report in terms of the national strategy synergy and key breakthroughs in Shanghai's high-quality development, which was endorsed by the state leaders and Shanghai's main leaders, with a special statement on financial risk prevention and control. The book has more than 300,000 words, which has reached the goal set by the 2018 Blue Book. An overview and innovative research achievements that are compatible with the sound development of Shanghai's finance in 2018 is formed in this book.
At the appointment ceremony of the invited researcher in the Yangtze River Delta region, Tang Haiyan issued an offer letter to Zhang Yuxiang (Shanghai) and QiuShiming (Zhejiang) .
In the expert commentary session, Shanghai Municipal People's Government Counselor Zhao Yuzi , the Shanghai Branch Vice President of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Lu Hong , Dean of the School of Finance of the University Professor Xu Wenxin , former deputy director of the People's Congress and District Federation of Trade Union Chairman of Pudong New Area Gu Xiaoming, the Shanghai Branch Vice President of Xiamen International Bank Lin Xiaohong fully affirmed the positive role played by the Blue Book in promoting the construction of the Shanghai as International Financial Center and provided valuable comments and suggestions on the preparation of compiling the 2019 Blue Book.
The 2018 Blue Book release conference is an important opportunity for Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance to establish an open platform to further serve the construction of Shanghai as International Financial Center. The research direction of the 2019 Blue Book has been confirmed by and large, and the university will continue to provide advice and dedication to the construction of the international financial center.
