SLU’s 7 Courses Selected as the 2020 First-Class Undergraduate Courses of Shanghai Higher Education Institutions

On January 20, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission issued the Notice of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on Publishing the Results of the 2020 First-Class Undergraduate Courses of Shanghai Higher Education Institutions (HJWG [2021] No. 5), and 7 courses of SLU were recognized as the 2020 first-class undergraduate courses of Shanghai higher education institutions.

Since the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission issued the Implementation Opinions on the Construction of First-class Undergraduate Courses in Shanghai Higher Education Institutions (HJWG [2020] No. 30), under the organization of the Teaching Affairs Office, the Schools of SLU have studied the Opinions to find out the specific requirements on the application and development of the municipal first-class courses. During the application stage, the Teaching Affairs Office, according to the Notice of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on Doing a Good Job in Applying for 2020 First-Class Undergraduate Courses (HJWG [2020] No. 66), carefully planned the works for the Schools’ course recommendation, carried out expert trainings and one-on-one guidance for the candidate teams, and prepared and reviewed online filing materials carefully, showing full support for the Schools and teachers in the application with high quality.

Following the examples of the 7 municipal first-class undergraduate courses, SLU will develop more first-class courses, and constantly improve the quality of education as well as the cultivation of first-class undergraduate talents.
