The national finals of the 2021 China National Competition of Business Administration for College Students were held remotely from July 17 to 18, 2021. Under the tutelage of supervisors Cheng Xueting and Gao Lingling, Class of 2022 students Wu Chengtao, Zhou Antong, and Xie Congwei from SLU’s School of Business Administration specializing in human resources management, competed with their counterparts from 80 universities and colleges in China, and won the national championship after fierce competition in operational simulation and remote oral defense, grabbing the honors for SLU.
The competition was jointly organized by the China Association of Trade in Services and Hohai University, aimed at promoting study and instruction through competition and combining competition with instruction, to promote the reform and development of instructional approaches to business programs in universities and colleges, improve such approaches and talent development in business programs, and find the right innovative talents for businesses. The competition lasted for more than three months over four stages: on-campus contests, regional contests, national semi-finals, and national finals. 2,000-odd teachers and students from over 80 universities and colleges across China participated in the competition. Ten teams were chosen from SLU’s contest to compete in regional contests, national semi-finals, and national finals, one of which won the grand prize of the national finals, or the national championship, four of which won the first prize of the national semi-finals, another four of which won the second prize of the national semi-finals, and the last one of which won the third prize of the national semi-finals. Two teachers of SLU won the title “Excellent Tutor”, and the “Excellent Organization Award” was conferred on SLU.
