Foreignstudents and some students at the international education preparatory course atShanghai Finance University took a one-day Haipai (Shanghai-style) culturaltour around the scenic spots of Shanghai on Nov 15, including the ShanghaiWorld Financial Center, Town God’s Temple and the Huangpu River.
Theylistened to a lecture about Shanghai-style culture and its evolution over theyears, Shanghai community life in a bustling metropolis, and Shanghai’sfast-paced modernization. They then took a voyage trip on the river, startingfrom the Yangjiadu ferry wharf in Pudong, and sailed past the buildings ofmultinational architecture styles along the Bund, Lujiazui and the Binjiangarea.
Atthe same time, they had a good time shopping while enjoying various localdelicacies. The one-day tour took students along the developing areas ofShanghai and invited them to explore the traditional charm and modern vigor ofthe city, giving them a better sense of its culture.
