In response to the national policy of encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation, our university organized the training camp of students’ entrepreneurship and invited the Mrs. Graziela Fusaro, Assistant Dean of College of Management from LIU POST in New York. Graziela came to carry out the training of the ICON business consulting project for the six student consultants from our university.
At the beginning of this term, our six students joined the International Consulting Network (the ICON). ICON is a registered company run by students all around the world. ICON aims at real companies to solve their business problems with feasible solution through the market research and analysis, so that we can provide professional advice and guidance for customers. The consultants of our university were devided into 3 different groups, every different groups have their own projects that the team member all around the world come together to carry out the real business problems. They might come from Germany, the United States, South Korea, Vietnam and other countries. The project we have joined are called the One Step, 3DWooW and the Empire City Chiropractic. ICON project lasts for thirteen weeks, during the project time, we have to focus on business objectives, market research, competitive analysis, target customers, marketing plan creation, and business valuation. The final conference will be carried out at the PWC in New York in the 13th weeks. Now, ICON project has been carried out on the fifth week, the students check the information, market analysis, customer demand, profit growth carefully. They communicate with team members actively and attend the meeting on time.
The seminar and training started on 10ober 18th, Graziela launched her lecture with business analysis in the first class. The students were very enthusiastic for the first discussion with the guidance from Graziela, and learn about the issue tree and the mock up from the class. they were looking forward show their work in the next day.
On 10ober 19th, the second day of training, Graziela respectively had each group show their work done yesterday. Each group had their own opinions, different, but fantastic. They had their mode of thinking and logic trained.
On 10ober 20th, Graziela took a project from ICON as an example to make us more impressive with the knowledge. We all saw that how to work on a real project for companies and this helped student consultants in ICON a lot.
The three-day training ended after a happy dinner with Graziela, each ICON student consultant got their own harvest. And we strongly believe that our student who are working with the ICON projects will get succeed in the final conference.
