
The 2017 Fall On-campus Career Fair for Graduating Students of Lixin was held in the Songjiang Campus and Pudong Campus respectively on 11. 4 and 11. 11. A total of 463 enterprises participated in the fair held in two campuses, and offered more than 9,000 job opportunities. Also present at the fair were Li Shiping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lixin , Lu Haibo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, Xu Zi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President, Gu Xiaomin, Vice President, and Zhao Shanrong, Vice President, who visited the participating enterprises and offered some guidance to the class of 2017 graduates.
At the first career fair after the merge of schools, employing units paid close attention to Lixin. With a high recognition of the graduates of the two universities before the merge, many enterprises actively registered for participation in this fair, and expressed strong interests in the majors of accounting, finance, economics, etc. To be specific, the Association of Accounting Firms, the Appraisal Society and the Association of Tax Agent Firms attended the fair with a delegation of 46 member units; Shanghai Construction Group (SCG) also brought 14 of its subordinate units to the fair; also present at the fair were State Grid, China Industrial Bank, Xiamen International Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Group, China Securities Co., Hengtai Securities and many other enterprises. They jointly offered a total of 3,200 job opportunities. The number of Internet finance, IT and other related enterprises present at the fair also increased obviously, and the number of positions provided by them also underwent an obvious increase. For instance, there were nearly 60 Internet finance enterprises (like CDP Group, Yonyou Fintech Information Technology Co., Ltd., etc.) and more than 20 “Internet+” IT enterprises (like Qast Software Group, etc.) at the fair, which offered more than 2,000 job opportunities, accounting for above 20% of the total number of job opportunities offered at the fair.
Crowded with graduates of various majors, the fair was almost saturated, but in an orderly manner. After merge, the university introduced an online information service platform as its new employment system, the module navigation setting of which fully took into account the “user experience” of graduates. In fact, most graduates participating in the fair had obtained the position information of participating enterprises through this platform before entering the fair, so that they were able to quickly identify their target enterprises. They could also send their resumes through the “one-stop” channel of WeChat code scan.
The fair was hosted by the Office of Employment and Pioneering, and received substantial support from the Party Committee Office, President’s Office, Publicity Office, Security Office, Logistics Management Office, Logistics Service Center, School of Physical Education and Health, Youth League Committee, and other branches of Lixin.
