On the morning of november 26, the Seminar on Response to “One Belt One Road” Trade, Investment & Business Environment, jointly sponsored by Lixin One Belt One Road Research Institute, China One Belt One Road Research Institute of Beijing International Studies University, and East China Normal University School of Advanced International and Area Studies, was held in Lixin Songjiang Campus. Professor Chen Jingying, Vice President of Lixin, and Professor Liang Haoguang, Head of China One Belt One Road Research Institute of Beijing International Studies University, made welcoming speeches respectively on behalf the sponsors. Totally, over 20 experts and scholars from Shanghai government, and Shanghai and Beijing universities and research institutes were invited to the seminar to carry out academic exchanges on the implementation of “One Belt One Road” strategy and response to the business environment problems in different countries and regions. Before the seminar, Professor Chen Jingying and Professor Liang Haoguang had in-depth exchanges on future inter-school cooperation.
During the seminar, Professor Zhou Shixun, Head of Information Department, Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Development Research Center and Secretary General of Shanghai International Think Tank Exchange Center made the first speech on the motivation and implementation of “One Belt One Road” strategy. Professor Lu Gang, Dean of the School of Advanced International and Area Studies of East China Normal University, analyzed the financial cooperation opportunities and challenges faced by “One Belt One Road”. Professor Chen Zilei, Head of the Department of Scientific Research, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, analyzed the “One Belt One Road” strategy and the construction of industrial value chain by incorporating issues related to Renminbi exchange rates. Faculties from Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, Shanghai International Studies University and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law as well as Lixin School of International Economics and Trade, School of Accounting, School of Finance and Public Administration and School of Statistics and Mathematics made topical speeches on theoretical and practical issues related to trade and investment in different countries, differences of taxation and accounting standards and investment risk evaluation respectively.
While providing leaders, experts and scholars engaged in researches on “One Belt One Road” from governments, universities and research institutions with a platform for academic exchanges, this seminar also presented and promoted the achievements made by Lixin on “One Belt One Road” and stimulated the closer communication and cooperation among the researches in this field.
