On 13th of february, School of Accounting organized 49 students to University of Lincoln in the UK for short-term winter exchange. During days of visiting, the teachers and students participated in a series of academic lectures and seminars, including corporate governance and ethics, management accounting, financial management, Brexit and EU economics, the entrepreneurial spirit, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and other professional courses. These courses were rich in contents, flexible in form, and fully inspired the students’ ability of critical thinking and consciousness of questioning, and deepened the students' understanding of the accounting course. The program adopted the form of moving class, and organized students and teachers to visit the University of Leeds, Sheffield University and Oxford University, and communicated with the local students and teachers face to face, which made the students fully experienced the academic ambience of the century-old British universities, and enhanced the teachers and students’ understanding of British higher education.
The teachers and students visited the global headquarters of ACCA together, which enhanced their recognition of the accounting profession, and had a clear goal of the technical capacity and professional ethics to be a future accountant. This visit broadened the students’ international vision and strategic thinking, improved their English communication skills, and deepened their understanding of British culture. The students all said that they benefited a lot.
