On October 25, Imran Khan, President of the City University College of Ajman (CUCA), United Arab Emirates, and Salma Senaran, Director of the Admissions Office, and their party, visited SLU and were received by Vice President Zhu Yabing.
Zhu Yabing welcomed the guests and briefly introduced student admissions, Sino-foreign cooperative educational programs and international exchange at SLU. He said that the UAE is an important country for the Belt and Road initiative and that it is hoped that SLU and CUCA will establish and deepen their partnership in the context of national strategies.

According to Imran Kha, the City University College of Ajman was established in 2012 and is located on the outskirts of the capital, Abu Dhabi. The university is an institution of higher education licensed by the Ministry of Education of the UAE. It is affiliated to R Holding, a private company of the Crown Prince of Ajman, whose son serves as Chairman of the College Board. The people of China and Ajman have been old friends. CUCA hopes to establish a productive partnership with SLU to promote the development of higher education in both countries.
The two universities discussed teacher and student exchanges, joint scientific research, and student exchange programs, and expressed specific intentions for in-depth cooperation.
