The 7th Achievement Exhibition of the Shanghai College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Programme was held at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) was on October 23rd, 2021. It was hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, organized by the USST and co-organized by 31 universities and colleges participating in the Shanghai College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Programme. The Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (SLU) won 11 prizes, i.e. 2 best popularity prizes, 3 excellent presentation project prizes, 3 excellent project report prizes, 1 excellent entrepreneurship project prize, 1 prize for excellent innovation and entrepreneurship training programme cases and 1 prize for excellent innovation and entrepreneurship thesis. And three SLU teachers won individual accolades.
This Achievement Exhibition is aimed at exhibiting the educational outcomes of Shanghai universities in innovation and entrepreneurship, providing a platform for students to have academic communication, enhancing intercollegiate exchanges and demonstrating the performance of university students in innovation and entrepreneurship. 45 entrepreneurship projects and 93 innovation projects were exhibited.
SLU has been striving to implement the programme, as evidenced by 425 projects approved for the programme in2021, including 39 at the national level, 130 at the municipal level, and 265 at the SLU level, with over 2,000 participants. Since the programme was launched, SLU has published 764 papers, acquired 37 software copyrights and patents and registered 65 companies, indicating the effectiveness of its education in innovation and entrepreneurship.
This year marks the start of the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan period. SLU will continue to deepen its reform in innovation and entrepreneurship education, improve the system for nurturing talents for innovation and entrepreneurship, regulate the operations and management of the programme, and optimize the system for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. Also, we will provide better services, introduce policies and promote collaboration and synergy, to create an environment that contributes to a joint effort across SLU to promote innovation and entrepreneurship education, motivate more teachers to provide guidance on innovation and entrepreneurship projects, and encourage students to make innovation and entrepreneurship endeavours, laying a solid foundation for promoting the incubation of outcomes for the programme and holding high-level innovation and entrepreneurship competitions such as the 7th China International College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
