On August 26th, more than 40 teachers and students, including Danish Dean of the International Business Academy (IBA) Confucius Institute Ildikó Antal and IBA Confucius Institute board member Morten Kier, went to the Chinese Embassy in Denmark for a one-day visit at the invitation of Feng Tie, Chinese Ambassador to Denmark.

Ambassador Feng Tie delivered a speech, where he welcomed the arrival of the IBA teachers and students and introduced one of Confucius’s core ideas: “Harmony in Diversity”. He said that China and Denmark differ greatly in both natural landscape, culture and history, but this does not affect the steady and sound development of the friendship between the two countries. He hoped that the two countries could establish deeper exchanges and cooperation with language and culture as a bridge.

Ildikó and Morten jointly delivered a speech, where they introduced the opportunity for the establishment of the IBA Confucius Institute and its history, and expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Denmark for its long-term support to the Confucius Institute. Hans Henrik, Secretary-General of the China-Denmark Business Forum, introduced the history, current situation and prospects of the China-Denmark economic and trade relations. This activity helped the teachers and students of the IBA Confucius Institute and Confucius Classroom gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese culture, enhanced the communication and exchanges between the IBA Confucius Institute and the Chinese Embassy in Denmark, and deepened the friendship between the two countries.
