From June 9 to June 18, Yang Li, President of SLU, led a delegation to visit the Malaysian campus of the University of Southampton, the Raman University of Management and Technology (also translated as the Raman University of Technology), Boren University in Thailand, the Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand, the Normandy Business School, the EDC Paris Business School, the IPAG Business School, the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of France, and met with representatives of the University of Pau in France.
During the visit to the University of Southampton Malaysia Campus, the delegation held talks with the university's executive vice president, Esen Mesbash. The two sides introduced the university's development strategy and international cooperation, and conducted in-depth exchanges focusing on the 2+2 international undergraduate education program, joint training of master's students, exchanges and visits between teachers and students, and scientific research cooperation.
Yang Li and Esen Mesbash signed a memorandum of understanding on inter-university cooperation on behalf of both parties, marking the official opening of a new chapter of cooperation between our university and the University of Southampton Malaysia Campus. The delegation also inspected the university's teaching facilities, scientific research environment, and student life.
During the visit to the Raman University of Management and Technology (also translated as the Raman University of Technology), the university's vice presidents Xie Sujuan and Luo Cuifeng received the delegation. Since the two universities established a cooperative relationship in 2019, they have carried out a wealth of cooperation in short-term projects, conferences and competitions during winter and summer vacations, and achieved fruitful results. Yang Li said that in April this year, General Secretary published a signed article during his state visit to Malaysia, proposing that the people of China and Malaysia should visit each other as often as relatives, promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning of civilizations, and enhance mutual understanding and affection, especially among the younger generation. Yang Li hopes that the two universities can further expand the scope of cooperation in the future. He expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the university for the IRSC2025 International Researchers and Students Conference Summer Research Project. This summer, our university will organize 15 students to participate in the project, and use this to further enhance the exchange and interaction between our university and Raman University of Management and Technology. Subsequently, the two sides discussed potential areas of cooperation and reached a further cooperation intention.
During the visit to Dhurakij Pundit University in Thailand, the delegation held an exchange meeting with Vice President Huang Lide, Assistant to the President, and Dean of the International College of Chinese Studies, You Xiang, among others. Yang Li stated that 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. The governments of China and Thailand have issued a joint statement, ushering in new opportunities for bilateral cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries. In April of this year, Dhurakij Pundit University visited our university and established a framework for cooperation between the two institutions. Building on this foundation, the two sides exchanged views on advancing joint graduate and doctoral programs, achieving the internationalization of our university’s certificate education, facilitating faculty and student exchange programs, sharing experiences in establishing Confucius Institutes, and exploring the establishment of an overseas branch campus of our university.
Subsequently, Yang Li and Huang Lide jointly unveiled the Lixin China-Thailand Accounting Career Development Center and the Lixin-Dhurakij Pundit University Joint Training Base for Masters and Doctors, opening a new journey for the overseas dissemination of our university's education brand and the training of The Belt and Road Initiative talents. In addition, the delegation also inspected the campus environment, facilities, and university history museum of Dhurakij Pundit University, which is known as the most beautiful campus in Thailand.

Yang Li gave a detailed introduction to the university's history, educational philosophy and international development, and expressed appreciation for the contributions made by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Thailand to promote Sino-Thai friendly relations, connect Sino-Thai economic and trade ties, and promote Chinese culture. He hoped to build a more diversified development platform for young Chinese and Thai students by building our university's overseas internship practice base and working with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Thailand.

During the visit to the Normandy Business School in France, the delegation held talks with Laurence BOITEUX, vice president of the school. Founded in 1871, the Normandy Business School is one of the oldest elite business schools in France and has triple international certifications from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. The two sides focused on the international preparatory 1+3 program, the international undergraduate 2+2 program, joint training of master's students, and exchanges and visits between teachers and students. Subsequently, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on inter-university cooperation.
The delegation also visited the university's industry-university-research cooperation demonstration enterprise, L'Oreal Group. The two sides exchanged and communicated on corporate diversification and compatibility, international mergers and acquisitions and global management and governance system research, and the integration of business practices into the business talent training system.
During the visit to EDC Paris Business School in France, the two sides had in-depth discussions on further expanding cooperation in exchanges, teaching and research, and reached a preliminary consensus. EDC Paris Business School is a famous business management school and a member of the French Higher Elite Schools Alliance. Since the two universities established a cooperative relationship in 2019, they have maintained friendly communication and exchanges. This year, three students from our school will go to the school for exchange studies.
During the visit to the IPAG Business School in France, the school's president Olivier MAILLARD and others received the delegation. The two sides exchanged views on the joint training of high-level business talents, joint scientific research by teachers, and exchanges and visits between students.
The delegation also visited the school's school environment, training system, faculty status and student development.
During the visit to the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of France, Zhou Jiagui, Minister Counselor of the Embassy, received the delegation. Zhou Jiagui said that it was the right time for Lixin to go to France to carry out exchanges and expand Sino-French cooperation in running schools. He shared the policies and latest developments of undergraduate and graduate cooperation in French universities, and expressed his strong support for our university to carry out educational cooperation and exchanges in France.
During the visit to France, the delegation also held talks with the director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Pau, France. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the construction of Confucius Institutes, the policy environment and development trends of French higher education, and provided reference opinions and suggestions for our university to expand cooperation with French universities and the development and construction of Confucius Institutes.
Based on the new era of education opening up, the university deeply implements the international development strategy of bringing in and going out to enable two-way empowerment, and takes deepening international exchanges and cooperation as a link to fully build a new paradigm of high-quality, open and distinctive education development. This visit not only consolidated the existing international cooperation network, but also actively explored new models of overseas education with innovative thinking, promoted the international output of Lixin's qualification certificate education system, and achieved the deep integration of education standards with international rules, further strengthened the international reputation of Lixin's brand, and enhanced the university's international influence.
