About Erasmus+

Built on the world renowned European Union brand of the highly successful Erasmus student exchange program (launched in 1980s), Erasmus + is the all-dimensional framework program for education, training, youth and sport with 16 billion euro support. More partners outside of EU have the opportunity to join in this wonderful projects. It runs for seven years, from 2014 to 2020.

Divided into 3 principal categories: education and formation, youth, and sport, the main objective of Erasmus+ is to improve employability and career competences their professional language skills and flexibility. 


Tree different types of projects, known as Key Actions, will help realize the objectives of Erasmus+. They are:


◎ Key Action 1:Learning Mobility of Individuals;

It is addressed to Staff (teachers, trainers, school leaders and youth workers) and students. This Key Action supports mobility projects in the field of education, training and youth; large scale European Voluntary service events; Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees; and Erasmus+ Master Loans.


◎ Key Action 2: Co-operation and Innovation for Good Practices;

It is addressed to Universities, international NGOs and youth workers. This Key Action supports Strategic Partnerships in the field of education, training and youth; knowledge Alliances; Sector Skills Alliances; Capacity Building in the field of higher education; and Capacity Building in the field of youth.


◎ Key Action 3: Support for Policy Reform;

The activities in support for policy reform are targeted at the achievement of the goals of the Europe 2020 Strategy, of the Strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020). It will also be included EU presidency events and Council of Europe events.
